Number 14: Little Busters

The cover of Little Busters

I HAD to put an album by The Pillows on here, but it was really hard to choose between this one and Happy Bivuoac, I ultimately went with Little Busters as it's both an album where I basically never skip a track, and I own it physically, along with it being the first album by the band I listened to. Of course everyone knows this album (and band) for the title track and multiple others being used in FLCL, but I listened to the album before even watching an episode of FLCL, heard the song in a flash animation (think it was for a Sonic webcomic, yes, really, they even name dropped FLCL) and it stuck with me for years, I properly gave the album a listen in 2019 and it didn't disappoint, every song hits, with the title track being a perfect closer to it, just a high energy track that feels like a great send off, but there's a good number of more emotional and slow tracks, such as One Life and Black Sheep, along with some hard rockers like Another Morning and Hybrid Rainbow, with the latter in particular having one of the band's best choruses, with a particularly great guitar solo to match. Another favorite is Patricia, a very bouncy and enjoyable track, just perfect to go with any situation, especially when lying at home or out walking. Highly recommend giving this album a listen, doesn't matter if you understand Japanese or not (which I don't), the instrumentals alone are enough of a reason to give this album a listen.
