About Baka

Hi, I'm Bakartridge (or just Baka for short) and I'm a 22 y.o. wolf girl (She/They) behind a computer screen who loves a lot of stuff, mainly music, games, tech, and generally anything retro, and that includes the internet. I'm not about to go on some whole spiel or make some manifesto about the internet or capitalism or whatever that you've probably heard from a million other sites, made this site because I wanted a hub to host all my stuff, along with an ever growing hate and distrust for social media platforms. Plus, it's fun. :3
I have ADHD and I'm a massive girl liker (though basically asexual and aromantic). Used to go under the name Inkling Studios (or Ink), though that name is now used for my "project" of sorts, or rather the name I apply to just about anything I make. I tend to make a lot of stuff, sort of a jack of all trades, but my main thing is making art. I used to do webcomics too, but both grew out of it and have no current interest in doing webcomics with my current style, although that has the potential to change in the future, maybe after I have some more practice. Currently in college, I plan to work in the IT field (shocker, right? :P), mainly planning on doing networking, or just being a field technician, the guy who fixes people's computer issues. I'm American and currently live in the Southeast (home state is Georgia, though not living there atm), planning to work with the government and have the ability to be stationed in Japan for a long period of time.

Baka's Interests

I generally like anything retro, if it's older than me or about as old as me I'll probably like it. For specifics, I really love stuff from the 90s and 2000s, though ofc I'm not limited to those decades. When it comes to older things, I mainly like games, music, and tech (mainly computers but other things too). I especially love older internet stuff, as evidenced by this whole site's vibes and aesthetics. Music is one of my biggest interests, specifically rock music, but I'll listen to just about anything that isn't country music or weird shit like idk... harsh noise or ultra extreme forms of metal (like goregrind and shit like that). I listen to it damn near constantly, it's got a serious influence on my personality and fashion style, and influences my art heavily, both in terms of my art style and what I draw, hence the drawings that are either based on or named after a song title. Hell, some characters are outright named after songs/music. I tend to like edgier things, i.e. early Newgrounds, Adult Swim, Nu Metal, etc., the good kind of edge where it's bloody and grungy looking, not that lame shit people do online. But on the flipside I have a huge affinity for sparkledogs and things like that, so it's not total edge 24/7. On a related note, I love horror and generally scary topics, moreso psychological/surreal horror than anything, though I have a weird soft spot for like, indie horror games, ranging from the crappy/cheesy 2010s .exe/creepypasta games or more modern stuff.

Also, girls. Like, a lot.
